Clothing Drive in Support of Care Plus NJ
At Lotus Boutique in Boonton, NJ Lotus Boutique located at 908 Main Street is calling for women around the area to bring in lightly worn work and interview appropriate attire to promote the economic independence and career development of disenfranchised women around the New Jersey area. Slacks, jackets, shirts and blouses in very good condition are all welcome.
Bridget Connor will host the clothing drive at her women’s clothing store, Lotus Boutique, located at 908 Main St. in Boonton on Friday, June 4th from 11am to 10pm. Wine and hors d'oeuvres will be served at 6pm. We will be working closely with Care Plus NJ, who oversees such organizations as Welfare To Work Mom’s, through Care Plus all donations will be delivered to the NJ organizations and families in need.
Since its inception in 1978, Care Plus NJ has provided comprehensive, recovery-focused behavioral health services for the surprising numbers of our neighbors in Northern New Jersey who deal with mental health issues and emotional distress. Most are shocked to learn that 25% of adults and 20% of our children are affected. Care Plus NJ’s programs help the young and the old; families and individuals; schools and community organizations. We assist those who struggle with challenges like depression, anxiety, stress, job loss, divorce, family and parenting issues as they try to navigate through the in’s and out’s of life. We also help individuals requiring more intensive community services.
Care Plus NJ provides services to approximately 20,000 adults and children each year. It operates 23 locations throughout Northern New Jersey, including 3 outpatient cents, 9 group homes, and offices at 3 hospitals and 3 community offices.
Care Plus Foundation directly supports the life changing programming of Care Plus NJ and provides assistance to clients in the way of supportive housing, medication and scholarship aide. Another part of our mission is to educate the public and eradicate the stigma attached to mental illness.
